Katerina Lekatsa
Katerina Lekatsa holds a BSc in Geology and an MSc in Environmental Sciences. Her research so far has centered on marine and transitional water habitats, particularly submerged vegetation.
As a Laboratory Support Associate of Oceanus-Lab, she is involved in scientific research, currently preparing two publications on lagoonal submerged vegetation. She has contributed to project reporting, developed educational material on marine habitats for schools, and delivers presentations to promote ocean literacy.
Her tasks extend to science photography, documentation, and graphic design content creation for academic and outreach purposes. She also manages social media, website updates, and public relations efforts for the lab. Moreover, she handles logistics and manages administrative tasks.
Passionate about fieldwork, Katerina actively seeks opportunities to participate in surveys and data collection, eager to gain hands-on experience. She remains committed to advancing her knowledge of marine ecosystems and advocating for equal participation in scientific exploration.
