Amalia Prandrekou

Amalia Prandekou is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geology, University of Patras. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Oceanography from University of Patras. During her graduate and postgraduate dissertations, she participated in research activities and gained experience in core sampling, micropalaeontological analysis, sedimentological analysis, as well as acquisition and interpretation of geophysical data.

Her research focuses on Micropaleontology, specifically in foraminifera applications for paleoceanographic and paleoenvironmental studies. Her Ph.D. thesis involves the investigation of anoxic basins in Greece based on micropaleontological and sedimentological analysis.
