Christina Malama

Christina Malama is a geologist, having graduated from the University of Patras in 2023. She is currently enrolled as a MSc student in the postgraduate programme “Oceanography – Exploration, Assessment and Management of the Marine Environment”.

She is actively involved with the student scientific association SEG UPatras, is a member of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece and the Hellenic Geological Society and has completed an internship at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR).

Her collaboration with Oceanus-Lab began during her undergraduate studies, through conducting research on benthic marine litter in Cyprus for her thesis, a practice that Christina continues to this day, for the detection of benthic marine litter in both Cyprus and the Cyclades.
