On June 7, 2023 the interview of Dr. George Papatheodorou - Ηead of Oceanus-Lab with thebest.gr, on the subject of marine litter in the Gulf of Patras, was released.   What is the situation in the Gulf of Patras in relation to marine litter? The systematic investigations carried out by the Laboratory of Marine Geology and Physical Oceanography of the Department of Geology of the University of Patras showed that plastic (56%) was the dominant material, followed by metal (17%) and glass (10%). Article published in new issue of Hydro International Magazine

The new article of Oceanus-Lab, entitled "Exploring shallow lagoons with USV mapping technology - Autonomous and uncrewed mapping of the unique ecosystem of Gialova Lagoon", has just been published in Hydro International Magazine. Oceanus-Lab's double contribution to a special issue of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering

The first volume of the special issue entitled "Advanced Technologies for Maritime and Underwater Archaeology" of the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (IF: 2.744) has been completed, along with a short editorial  by the guest editors, one of whom is the head of Oceanus-Lab, Dr George Papatheodorou.      In the aforementioned volume, work by our laboratory, dedicated to the wrecks of Methoni, which were studied and mapped with marine geophysical methods, is presented.
