Vodafone Posidonia

The program concerns the systematic exploration and mapping of Posidonia oceanica meadows. In the first stop of the program, the marine areas of Syros and Paros will be studied, while the research mission in the marine areas around Mykonos and Delos is planned for the spring of 2024.

Τhe Vodafone Posidonia program also includes the installation of a Posidonia oceanica underwater observatory, which, equipped with underwater cameras and IoT sensors, will offer the ability to survey the seabed in real time.

The project is an initiative of and will be funded by the Vodafone Foundation.
